Air Import Agent | Elk Grove Village, IL | Hybrid working environment This is a hands-on operational role responsible for managing air import shipments from pre-arrival through final delivery, while providing excellent service to customers and overseas partners. Salary up to $70,000, depending on experience Bonus opportunity Hybrid working environment Opportunity to join an established international freight-forwarding organization Career growth and development opportunities The Role Manage end-to-end Air Import shipments, from arrival through final delivery Coordinate with airlines, overseas agents, customs brokers, truckers and warehouses Prepare and process import documentation, including arrival notices, commercial invoices and bills of lading/air waybills Track shipments and ensure timely customs clearance and delivery Coordinate with customs brokers regarding entry documentation and clearance requirements Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays, discrepancies and operational issues Communicate regularly with customers and overseas offices/agents regarding shipment updates Arrange final-mile delivery and coordinate with trucking companies Review and maintain accurate shipment records within the company’s TMS/operating system Prepare and review billing and invoicing for completed shipments Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable U.S. import regulations Provide a high level of customer service throughout the import process Requirements 3+ years of U.S. Air Import / freight forwarding experience Strong knowledge of Air Import operations and documentation Experience working with airlines, customs brokers, truckers and overseas agents Knowledge of U.S. Customs clearance procedures Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience with CargoWise or another freight-forwarding operating system is preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
